MOFFAT COUNTY, Colo.-Two lightning-sparked wildfires in Moffat County had significant activity Sunday.

Fire officials said the Wolf Fire had grown to 6,100 acres with 40 percent containment. The Divide Fire is now 100 percent contained at 408 acres.

The Wolf Fire was reported five miles south of Elk Springs off Highway 40. About 178 fire personnel are on scene, but the steep terrain on the southern end of the blaze is proving difficult to contain.

The flames have pushed into deep canyons, creating an uneven fire edge of finger-like protrusions.
