Record Powerball Numbers Announced

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- There was Powerball pandemonium across the U.S. Wednesday.

The payoff got up to nearly $580 million.

Here are the winning numbers: 5,16, 22, 23, 29 and a Powerball 6.

Colorado lottery officials say they saw a 72 percent increase in sales from Sunday through Wednesday, and more than 1.5 million Coloradans purchased tickets.

Winning tickets that matched all of the numbers were sold in Arizona and Missouri.

It's believed someone in Colorado had enough numbers to win about $2 million.
