Water Providers Offer Suggestions to Prevent Frozen Pipes

by KREX News Room

MESA COUNTY, Colo.- The uncommon and prolonged cold snap in the Grand Valley is causing some issues for water customers.

Several area water providers are urging customers to take precautions to avoid frozen pipes, water lines and water meters.

Water providers suggest closing garage doors, open the cabinet doors below sinks to let heat into the space, especially if water pipes are in outside walls. Also, allow a reduced stream of water to flow through faucets.

If you do not experience any water flow in your house, contact your water provider .
