Water Line Replacement Project Underway in Grand Junction

by KREX News Room
by Cori Coffin

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Beginning Tuesday at 7 a.m., Grand Junction's water line replacement work along Grand Avenue will require the partial closure of Fourth Street at Grand Avenue.

The closure will only impact drivers traveling on Fourth Street, who will be diverted at Gunnison Avenue and can detour to either Seventh or First streets.

Traffic along Grand Avenue will still be reduced to one lane in each direction, just as it has been during the course of the project.

City officials hope to have the intersection open for travel before 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
