Volunteers Search for Missing 13-Year-Old

by KREX News Room

VALLECITO, Colo. - Volunteers in southwestern Colorado spent part of their Thanksgiving searching for a 13-year-old boy who went missing while visiting his father.

Sixty people looked for Dylan Redwine around Vallecito Reservoir and Forest Lakes Thursday.
They also passed out fliers and knocked on doors seeking clues about his whereabouts.

The Durango Herald reports that a Vallecito resident saw Dylan walking along a road there with another boy on Monday afternoon. Both had backpacks.

Authorities suspect Dylan may have run away but La Plata County Sheriff's Officials say they haven't ruled out the possibility that he was abducted.

Dylan lives with his mother in Colorado Springs but a judge issued his father visitation rights for Thanksgiving.

According to the La Plata County Sheriff's Office, Dylan is 5 feet, weighing 105 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and white Duke baseball hat, a black Nike short sleeved t-shirt, black basketball shorts and black Air Jordan athletic shoes. He has a white colored 2-3'' birthmark on his right shoulder and three moles on his right neck, jaw area.

If you have any information on Dylan's whereabouts, you are asked to call La Plata County Sheriff's Office at (970)-382-7015.
