They should have had off duty cops working security there. Bottom line....that incident would have ended quickly if so.

I don't think the movie theater should be sued. Go to every midnight showing of big movies there is never off duty cops. I'm from Las Vegas orgianlly and they never have cops at midnight showing of movies. The only thing the movie theater is wrong for is that the exit door didn't have an alarm that went off when it was opened.

security at the movies/bank/gas station /GROCERY STORE/SCHOOLS/airports/how about church/restrooms and my front door? BUT DONT CARRY AND USE PEPPER SPRAY! it is illegal to use pepper spray in colorado. It is my understanding it is very difficult to shoot a room full of people with pepperspray in your eyes.

So what now is this coming to...?? security everywhere? a theater? a drug store? the gym? the dollar store? I don't think so. Yeah this sucks but its not the responsibility of the average business to secure you. Its not their fault.

The theater isn't responsible even with no alarm on the door. Who could have predicted that this would happen at this theater? Off duty cops or security would further increase the high cost of movies. I hate to say it this way but this is another stupid lawsuit blaming someone for someone else's actions. The shooter is the one and only responsible person here. NO one else.

what a totally frivolous lawsuit. first of all, the responsibility should start with the parent. who brings a 6 year old child to a midnight movie? and who could possibly prepare or anticipate this type of tragedy -- are we to live in a fully armed police state?

Yes, what happened to that little girl is tragic and nothing anyone does can bring her back. But seriously, he wants to sue theater when he shouldnt have even brought her to a midnight showing of a movie that she is too young to watch in the first place.
