GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The Veterans Memorial Cemetery is now decked out in holiday spirit.

The Western Slope Patriot Guard Riders and volunteers gathered to display more than 1,400 wreaths along every head stone at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

The wreaths are freshly made with a personal touch and sent over from the Worcester Wreathe Company of Harrington Maine.

"I kind of look at it like it's their Christmas. Christmas goes on whether we're here or not, so this kind of shows that we appreciate them on this particular holiday," said Art Edwards, with the Western Slope Patriot Guard Riders.

The Western Slope Patriot Guard Riders have been handing out wreaths for the past six years.

The wreaths will stay at the cemetery until Jan. 1.

After the wreaths are taken down, the group will prepare for next year's ceremony.
