Vega Lake to Close Boat Ramp Early

by KREX News Room
by Daniel Phillips

MESA COUNTY, Colo.- Due to low water conditions, the boat ramp at Vega Lake will be closing Oct. 1.

However, if you do plan on using the launch, officials suggest calling for current water conditions since water levels have been fluctuating drastically.

The closure is taking place one month earlier than the originally scheduled date, but hand launching will be allowed until the reservoir freezes.
