Update on Montrose County Shooting Incident

MONTROSE COUNTY, Colo- Authorities release more information on the shooting incident that took place in Montrose County last week.

Officials say Ashley Ware, 25 and Mechelle Lee, 33 were taken into custody on Thursday.

They were both arrested on Montrose warrants for failure to appear.

Authorities say last week, they were involved in a traffic stop conducted by deputies along Highway 145, near Redvale.

At some point during the stop, deputies reported shots fired.

Officials say Tryllen Richards,32, who was taken to St. Mary's Hospital with a single gunshot wound, is facing charges of first-degree assault and felony menacing.

It is still unclear exactly what led to the shooting.
