Upcoming Road Construction To Slow Traffic Around Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The city of Grand Junction will continue its street overlay program Monday night by raising manhole covers along Grand Avenue from Seventh to 12th streets.

Work will be done at night between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

This work will come in advance of milling, which
will begin Tuesday night and continue through August 2. While crews are milling, the intersection of Seventh and Grand will be closed during work hours.

Alternate routes are Rood and Gunnison avenues.
Paving is scheduled to take place August 7-9.

Redlands Parkway will also being getting some work done. Workers will be milling the stretch of road from Highway 340 to the Colorado River from August 2-3. During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Work will also be done from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
