GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The Museum of Western Colorado is known for many things, and over the last five years, has added their Passport to Adventure program to that list.

"The trips are really amazing,” said Celia Fournier, registrar for Passport to Adventure. “Our trip leaders are very knowledgeable and very friendly and everyone always has a good time."

Through their vacation program, museum officials guide local residents to places all around Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. Some programs also offer trips to destinations around the world.

"The people that go are primarily retires because they have the resources and the time but we get people of all ages,” said Fournier.

Fournier says their recent trip to Peru was a great success, and adds there’s quite a few people are regulars on their expeditions.

“It’s phenomenal, very interesting and very educational," said Mary Lou Kelly, participant.

For those who are looking to meet new people here in the grand valley, Fournier says the trips are great for that too.

“Everyone watches each others back and so you don’t get into potential problems when you travel alone to some of these places,” said Fournier.

There's still plenty of trips available, and for more information on where you can adventure to, and pricing, click here.
