Union Pacific Settles With EPA for $1.5 Million over Violations

Grand Junction - Union Pacific settled for $1.5 million with the EPA after improper cleanup from coal and oil spills.

Locally at the Grand Junction rail yard, violations included not reporting what oils were contained in their oil containment containers. They were also accused of not having an adequate secondary containment for loading and unloading operations to trap any spilled oil.
