Trial Date Set for Former Police Officer, Sex Assault Suspect

MESA COUNTY, Colo. - A motions hearing was held Monday for 42-year-old Eric Janusz, who's trial will begin on March 11.

Janusz is accused of four counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust and four counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust, with a pattern of abuse.

The original judge on the case, Thomas Deister, took himself off due to a connection to one of the witnesses. Instead, Judge Valerie Jo Robinson was assigned to the trial.
