Travel Backups at Greyhound Station

by KREX News Room

Grand Junction - The weather is causing headaches for travelers in airports across the country, and for some relying on the bus to get them to their destination. Greyhound employees say the delays and cancellations all started Thursday morning.

The rides to and from Las Vegas and Salt Lake City are experiencing some backups.

Experts also say they're seeing some delays for the routes starting in Grand Junction and going out to Las Vegas.

NewsChannel 5 caught up with some stranded riders at the Greyhound Station off 5th Street in Grand Junction.

"We just got delayed from the storm and the weather, but they said the buses are running, but not until further notice, and we've been here for a couple hours, and it's getting to be kind of annoying," explains Americo Flavian and Kalia Callahan.

"I'm from Detroit. I'm trying to get to Vegas, but that's not going to happen for me. I'm probably going to head home. I'm just too bummed," says Shantell Wiggins.

Greyhound experts also say there are some backups on bus rides out west in the Palm Springs area due to rain.
