GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo.- A traffic accident involving four semi-trucks closed westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon Monday night.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened just before 3 p.m. at mile marker 118 near the No Name Tunnel.

CSP doesn't know exactly what caused the accident, but at least one vehicle was leaking oil and gas, prompting a hazmat response.

Crews closed all westbound lanes at mile marker 140 in Gypsum until 7 p.m. For the remainder of the night, the right-hand lane in the No Name Tunnel was closed. All lanes have since been reopened.

One person was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries.

CDOT wasn't updating their site, however the 511 number was being updated slightly more frequently.

There were two separate accidents on Westbound I-70. One in the No Name tunnel one right before the West Glenwood exit. The closure was lifted closer to 8 not 7. While I greatly appreciate the coverage, as KREX is the only station with this story still on their website, more information sooner would be very helpful especially on the website since most of us rely on online content that we can access on our phones.
