Toddler Shot in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Police are investigating after a three-year-old boy in Colorado Springs toddler suffered a self inflicted gun shot wound to his foot.

Police say the .40 caliber handgun went off Wednesday morning after the toddler found the weapon in the master bedroom.

The boy's mother was home at the time but didn't see the child get the gun.

The toddler is in stable condition.

It's unknown if any charges will be filed at this time and the boy's name is not being released.
