Tiara Rado Animal Hospital Launches Behavioral Program

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - One local animal hospital is working to be more proactive when handling animal behavior issues.

Experts at the Tiara Rado Animal Hospital say whether a dog is young or old, it is a big transition to be introduced into a new home.

Just after adoption, owners can set up two consults which will cover a range of behavioral issues including dealing with aggression.

"If they notice that the dog is overtly aggressive, then we will refer that dog to a trainer that can work with them on a long term basis," said Susan Kingsbury, Hospital Administrator.

Each consultation is 30 minutes long and costs $35.

If your pet completes both consults, they can either receive a free spay/neuter service or if the dog has already been fixed, they'll receive a free year supply of Heartguard Plus and a $25 gift certificate to the hospital.
