Three Car Accident Causes Heavy Congestion

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A three car accident on North Avenue and 5th Street caused heavy congestion Friday afternoon.

Officials say a woman was following too closely and couldn't stop in time before hitting a passenger car, who then hit an SUV.

The woman who caused the accident had minor injuries and was cited with a ticket.

North Avenue's left hand lane was blocked off and caused traffic to back up heading eastbound.
