GJPD Arrests 3 in Drug Distribution Operation

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Grand Junction police officials have arrested three people in connection with a drug distribution operation.

The GJPD says 44-year-old Travis Minter was arrested after an investigation by the Western Colorado Drug Task Force. Minter is accused of dealing large quantities of methamphetamine to 48-year-old Michael Balentine and 40-year-old Michael Romero, who were also arrested.

Balentine and Romero are accused of taking the drug and distributing it for Minter.

During a traffic stop, authorities found one-quarter of an ounce of what they believe was methamphetamine in Minter's car. They also found large amounts of cash and drug paraphernalia.

Minter, Balentine and Romero all faces charges of drug possession and distribution; Minter also faces other minor charges.
