Thousands of Credit Card Numbers Estimated Stolen in Durango

DURANGO, Colo.- The Durango Police Department is asking for the FBI's help after an estimated 2,000 credit card numbers were stolen from registrants of the Iron Horse Bike Race.

The breach was discovered after numerous people discovered fraudulent activity on their cards following the registration period.

Race officials are still trying to determine where the breach occurred.

An estimated 2,500 credit cards were used by registrants of the race but race officials are unsure how many cards were compromised.
