Palisade - A Grand Valley business was the "right price" for one popular TV show. Wine Country Inn was featured as part of the showcase showdown on the iconic TV show The Price is Right.
Excited may be an understatement for employees watching Tuesday's episode of The Price is Right. They may have already been fans of the show, but Tuesday's Showcase Showdown made them even bigger fans.
It was last spring owners Jean and Richard Tally were contacted by the show.
"It was one of the first game shows ever. It has maintained loyal viewers all of these years. It's like we've arrived if we are on The Price is Right," commented Jean Tally, the co-owner of Wine Country Inn.
The owners of Wine Country Inn offered a six night stay for two retailed at about $1500. The show was filmed back in spring and finally, it aired on Tuesday.
"We've been in such a limbo. We didn't know until we got the notice when the show would air and finally it happened! We've been looking forward to it for such a long time," exclaimed Jean Tally.
For the Wine Country Inn employees, many would agree that Tuesday was well worth the wait.
"The Grand Valley is such a treasure trove of wonderful places to explore and things to do. We really hope that it continues to get the exposure that it's been getting lately," explained Anne Tally, the co-owner of Wine Country Inn.
Terry also won a five-day digging excursion with the Museum of Western Colorado, a full day rafting trip, a trip to Hawaii and a brand new Ford Escape.
