German American Club Celebrates Mardi Gras

Grand Junction - Music, food, and drink to celebrate Mardi Gras is in the air. The German American Club celebrates in German tradition by dressing up and disguising themselves while dancing, drink, and eating, before Lent begins, which is a Catholic tradition.

The club celebrated at the Palisade Brewing Company Saturday. The President of the club, Jim Witt, said they also participate in Oktoberfest, and "My Fest." Witt said you don't have to be German to participate.
