GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Another guest showed up at the Club 20 debates, this one not so typical.

A 23-foot inflatable "fat cat" was posted outside of Colorado Mesa University wanting to know where the candidates stand on supporting his big oil tax breaks and subsidies.

The symbolic figure targets Congress for continually voting on subsidizing the oil and gas industry, saying it costs Colorado taxpayers $170 million per year.

He also said the top oil industries made $137 billion in profits last year.

The fat cat has been showing up at several different events.

This was his first appearance in Grand Junction.

But not wind and solar jobs? When they're making this much in profits why do we need to be adding to their coffers?

The taxpayers benefit from oil and gas jobs.
