'The Dog Stars’ Named One Book, One Mesa County

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The selection has been made, and a popular book by a Colorado author has been picked for the 2013 One Book, One Mesa County.

"The Dog Stars" was written by Denver resident Peter Heller and is about a pilot struggling to survive a post-apocalyptic Colorado.

Mesa County Libraries selected this book to be their eighth One book, One Mesa County because it's partly set in Grand Junction.

Heller is scheduled to visit Grand Junction on Saturday, March 9.

He'll discuss his book at the One Book, One Mesa County author event.

The book is available from Mesa County Libraries in both print and audio CD.
