Study Projects School Enrollment Rise

DENVER The legislative council is projecting a significant rise in the number of student enrolling in school for the 2013 - 2014 school year.

Officials, close to the study, say this translates to roughly 10,000 more students statewide.

Locally, Western Colorado is forecast to have a smaller increase of only .6%.

The same study is also projecting a rise of 1.3% in enrollment in the 2014 - 2015 school year.

However, Western Colorado, is again, forecast to have a smaller enrollment increase of only .7%

The Denver Metro and Northern Colorado areas are expected to see the largest enrollment increase of 1.6% for the 2013 - 2014.
