State Representative Sal Pace Visits Grand Junction

by KREX News Room

Candidate for Colorado's 3rd congressional district Sal Pace visited Grand Junction on Thursday. He spoke with community business leaders to get a better idea of their concerns in Mesa County.

Members from healthcare, political, communications, and law organizations gave Pace their thoughts on the current economy and issues they think need to be addressed on the Western Slope.

Pace says after the discussion, he has a few clear goals in mind. "We need to find capital for investments, we have to ensure small businesses have resources to grow, we have to have a focus on assisting small businesses with the same type of focus it seems only the largest businesses have with Congress right now."

Some of the other main issues covered in the forum were investing more taxpayer dollars in the local economy and putting more emphasis on education and workforce training.
