Man Accused of Stabbing Wife Charged in Court

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Jesus Villarruel, 40, was formally charged with assault with a deadly weapon by a Mesa County judge Wednesday.

It's believed he stabbed his wife in the head with a knife last week.

She was found bleeding heavily from the head and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses also claim that they saw Villarruel assault his wife.

He will be back in court Nov. 6.
