Some Residents Displaced by Waldo Canyon Fire Return Home

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- The Waldo Canyon Fire burning near Colorado Springs is now 45 percent contained and some residents have been allowed to return to their homes.

The wildfire has destroyed 346 homes, which is the largest number of homes destroyed by a fire in Colorado history.

Two casualties have been reported as a result of the blaze. More than 17,000 acres have been scorched.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and more than 1,200 personnel are on scene.
