Snow Wreaks Havoc on Grand Valley Drivers

by KREX News Room

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Monday's snow also brought with it many accidents around the Grand Valley.

The driver that caused an accident on 29 Road and Highway 50 said that he slipped on a patch of ice and hit another vehicle.

Grand Valley residents also dealt with delays on 32 Road due to a three-vehicle accident near C Road this evening.

Mesa County Sheriff's officials told NewsChannel 5 the cause of the accident is still under investigation, although the slick weather is considered a factor.

One woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and both directions of 32 Road were shut down for about an hour for accident clean up.

Authorities ask residents to slow down and if you don't have to go out, stay in.
