DENVER (AP)- The danger of snow slides continues to be high in Western Colorado.

According to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, back country travelers triggered several avalanches over the weekend around Red Mountain Pass, but no injuries were reported.

Forecasters said Monday that hikers and skiers could trigger large avalanches in Summit County, the Steamboat Springs area and the Northern San Juan Mountains.

The most dangerous areas are near and above tree line.
