Snow Causes Rim Rock Closure

by KREX News Room

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - National Park Service officials have decided to temporarily close down parts of the Colorado National Monument due to hazardous driving conditions.

The upper section of Rim Rock Drive will be temporarily closed from DS Road to Independence Monument Overlook while officials wait for all the storms to pass, to then plow, sand and clear the roads.

They suggest all Glade Park motorists to use DS Road or Little Park Road instead.

The closure may last a few hours or a few days.

NewsChannel 5 will keep you updated as soon as the status of the road changes.
