BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.-Silverthorne resident Dale Bruner has been sentenced to 112 years in prison for the 2010 murder of his wife, Stephanie Roller Bruner.

The Summit Daily reports that after being convicted in July of second-degree murder of Roller Bruner, Bruner received his sentence Friday at the Summit County Justice Center in Breckenridge.

Bruner will be required to serve at least 75 percent of his sentence under Colorado law, which is a total of 84 years, before he is eligible for parole.

Bruner's attorney says he maintains his innocence and plans on appealing.

Roller Bruner's body was found in the Blue River near her home in November 2010, three days after Bruner reported her missing.

She'd suffered from blunt-force trauma and strangulation and died from a combination of her injuries, hypothermia and drowning.
