Sheriff's Office Receives COPS Grant

MESA COUNTY, Colo.- Mesa County will soon hire three new deputies thanks to special grant money.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office will receive $375,000 from the Justice Department's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). It's part of the COPS hiring program.

The new positions are designated for post-9/11 military veterans.
