Eagle County Sheriff's Office Confirms Homicide-Suicide

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo.- The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office has officially declared Saturday’s incident in the Missouri Heights area as a homicide-suicide after receiving confirmation from autopsy results.

Autopsy results confirmed that Andrew Mazeika, 68, shot his wife, 54-year-old Judi Mazeika, before turning the handgun on himself.

Judi Mazeika was deceased when Eagle County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived on scene. Andrew Mazeika was transported to Valley View Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
