MESA COUNTY, Colo. - The Palisade man accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl is back in Mesa County after being extradited from Garfield County.

James David Tiner, 59, was booked into the Mesa County Jail on a charge of sexual assault on a child from a position of trust, with a pattern of abuse.

He is being held on $150,000 bond.

Tiner is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl between 2009 and 2010, who attended music lessons in Tiner's home in Palisade.

An FBI investigation into Tiner's home revealed multiple graphic videos and photographs of the victim, as well as other photos of unknown underage females.

The suspect was captured on Dec. 20 after tips alerted authorities in the New Castle area.
