Sex Assault Suspect Apprehended

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. - The former Palisade teacher wanted for sexual assault on a child has been apprehended.

According to a statement released by the FBI, 59-year-old James David Tiner was arrested early Saturday morning after law enforcement officers from New Castle Police Department received tips regarding Tiner's possible location.

After a short pursuit, law enforcement from New Castle Police Department, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, and FBI took Tiner into custody at an undisclosed location.

Tiner is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl who attended music lessons at Tiner's home in Palisade.

Multiple graphic videos and photographs of the victim, as well as other images of unknown underage females, were found in his home.

Tiner is being held on a no bond warrant in Garfield County Detention Facility for the Palisade Police Department.

He is charged with multiple counts of sexual assault on a child. A court date has yet to be set.

Why do we even spend the time on these types of criminals. Put a bullet in his head and be done with it. The child is damaged for life and he will get free meals, medical care and a place to live for the rest of his life. Sad
