Senate Approves John Brennan's Nomination

WASHINGTON, D.C. John Brennan will take over as the new head of the CIA.

The Senate approved Brennan's nomination Thursday night which was less than 24 hours after Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul filibustered the vote.

Paul wanted to limit the U.S ability to use drone strikes on American citizens. Thursday, the Obama Administration relented.

Attorney General Eric Holder sent Paul a letter placing specific limits on the president's authority to authorize such attacks.

The move was enough to clear the way for Brennan's senate approval.
