WASHINGTON- Senator John Kerry will be sworn in as the new Secretary of State this week. The Senate approved his nomination Tuesday.

John Kerry's appointment is also getting support from Colorado Senator Mark Udall.

Udall, who serves on the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence welcomed the news.

In a press release, Udall stated "Senator Kerry has been a strong voice in the U.S. Senate for pursuing a smart, but tough foreign policy. He understands the importance of advancing U.S. policy that serves the interest of all Americans. I look forward to working with him in this new role."

Senator Kerry is expected to make his speech Tuesday and then could be sworn-in any time after that.

John Kerry? Didn't he serve in Vietnam?

Yes he did serve, but returned and turned against everyone else who served.

I think I remember him saying that he did serve once or twice when he was running for President. But my favorite line of his had to be "Oh, that's not my SUV, that's the families!" when a reporter asked him why they were running around in a gas-guzzling behemoth.

I'm sure Kerry will be just as useless if not more so than the hildabeast was. I think Rice was the best Sec.of State we have had as a nation in most recent history.
