MESA COUNTY, Colo.- A utility truck was left on its side after an accident on Highway 50 near 28 1/2 Road.

Officials with the Colorado State Patrol say that around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, a semi-truck with a work bucket was traveling southeast on Highway 50 when traffic in front of the truck stopped suddenly.

The driver was forced to choose between hitting the vehicle in front of him and rolling the semi into the median.

No one was hurt in the accident; however, the truck leaked oil onto the road.

Authorities say it was not enough to be declared hazardous.

Roads were blocked partially on Highway 50 in both directions for about one hour.

Truck Drivers in this town need to slow down! There are a lot of drivers that get in a hurry. Tail gating and turning out in front of on coming traffic will not get you any where faster! It will get you rolled over in a median or on top of the car in front of you.
