GLENWOOD CANYON, Colo. - A semi truck rolls on I-70, causing all westbound lanes to be closed near the Glenwood Canyon for three hours Friday morning.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, at 3 a.m. Friday morning, authorities responded to a semi rollover on I-70 westbound at mile marker 127. It is about one mile east of the Hanging Lake Tunnel.

According to officials, a semi tractor trailer was traveling westbound when the driver hit a guardrail and rolled onto it's passenger side, blocking all westbound lanes.

The trailer spilled plastic containers onto the roadway and it wasn't until around 6 a.m. that one westbound lane was reopened.

The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and was cited for careless driving.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, though officials say driver fatigue may be a factor.
All lanes were reopened around Noon on Friday.
