GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. - Holiday travelers weren’t feeling so lucky this evening as a semi-truck crash closed westbound Interstate 70 for about four hours.

The accident happened in Glenwood Canyon, just before 3 p.m. Colorado State Patrol officials say a semi-truck driver headed westbound, lost control of his tractor-trailer and rolled the massive vehicle.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The CSP hazardous materials team responded to the scene to investigate a diesel fuel leakage, but officials believe that no hazardous materials entered the waterway.

The semi was hauling steel pipe. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
