Seasonal Jobs Going Fast

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- If all you want for Christmas this year is a job, you better start applying as soon as possible. Many businesses have already gotten a jump start on their holiday hiring.

Numerous stores are filling seasonal positions, and some have already filled those spots ahead of the unofficial start to the holiday shopping season, Black Friday.

Electronics giant Best Buy has already hired its team of seasonal sales and retail representatives, but other merchandise stores such as Old Navy still have some space on their roster.

"Black Friday is coming up in two weeks, and yes, we are hiring. I only have about three positions left to fill because we are pretty aggressive about it right off the bat," said Freda Psencik, store manager for the Grand Junction Old Navy.

However, other businesses hiring in anticipation of this holiday season include Bed Bath & Beyond, Enstrom's Toffee, Kohl's, Ross and StarTek.

Kohl's tells NewsChannel 5 they are looking to hire 40 new employees for the holiday season, while StarTek is also looking to fill a significant number of positions.
