GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The Mesa County Search and Rescue ground team trains inside the Grand Junction Climbing center four to five times a year to stay in shape.
The owner of the climbing wall located behind Sprouts and Del Taco, offers Search and Rescue to train for free.
Thursday night they climbed for a couple hours to activate unique muscles.
"It helps cardiovascular, we might be hiking 10,12 miles on a mission so it just keeps us fit and helps us through the year," said Doug Sieckert with the ground team.
They climbed for a couple hours and even got the trained Search and Rescue dog up the climbing wall too.
