New Searchers Join In Search For Missing Hunter near Hotchkiss

Hotchkiss - The search continues in Delta County for a missing hunter. Seventy-three-year-old Terry Baughn of Ohio hasn't been seen since Tuesday afternoon. He's lost on BLM land near Green Mountain, northwest of Hotchkiss.

Delta County Sheriff officials told NewsChannel Five Saturday afternoon an additional 15 searchers are on the mountain looking for the man. They say weather is improving in the area and they hope to cover more ground in the search.

Dozens of people, including members of the Delta County, Gunnison, and Hotchkiss Search and Rescue Teams, are looking for him, including his own hunting partners. Searchers found Baughn's four-wheeler, but he was nowhere to be found.

They say there's a chance he's injured somewhere, and a bear has been spotted in the area.
