Sandy Continues to Impact Eastern Half of the Country

by KREX News Room
by Daniel Phillips

The super-storm Sandy continues to push its way inland, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

At least 34 deaths have been reported and 8.2 million are left without power.

Parts of New Jersey and New York have been left devastated with flooding being a major problem through the Garden State.

The massive scope of Sandy, however, has been felt across the country not just the northeast and states stretching from Michigan to South Carolina have had to deal with the storm.

The snow totals coming out of West Virginia and western Maryland are up to two feet, and advisories continue to pop up along the Great Lakes.

Sandy remains a serious storm and the scale of the aftermath won't be fully realized for days to come.
