Safeway to Hire 1,000 Veterans Across the Country

DENVER- Safeway has announced it will be hiring at least 1,000 military veterans in 2013.

Officials say this will add to the 1,300 veterans they hired this year.

They say this is a continuing effort to help honor and support those who have fought for our country.

Safeway has also launched a fundraiser for veterans during the holiday weekend, with a regional goal for Colorado of more than $100,000.
