S.P.U.N.K. Drive Seeks Socks, Pajamas and Underwear for Kids

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- As winter approaches, more and more kids are in need of socks, pajamas and underwear.

The eighth annual S.P.U.N.K. drive goes from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15. It stands for "socks, pajamas and underwear for needy kids.

D & G AutoCare, which sponsors the drive, is asking the public to drop off any sizes of new socks, underwear or pajamas.

"Socks, pajamas and underwear are the things you don't see in clothing drives," said Gretchen Haynes, owner of D & G AutoCare.

The drop-off spots include all of the Grand Valley Bank locations, Dos Hombres, Harrahs and Trader's Coffee.
