DENVER- Colo. U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet announced that residents in 43 counties, including Gunnison, Larimer and Summit, are eligible to apply for low interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The loan is to offset losses due to this summer's severe drought.

In a press release, Bennet noticed that "the summer's drought caused a wide array of economic hardships for Coloradans". "These disaster loans will help Colorado's small businesses that are not directly connected to the agricultural industry", Bennet added.

Disaster loan information is available by calling 1-800 -659-2955 or by visiting Small Business Administration .
