Romney's Vice Presidential Pick to Visit Colorado

DENVER, Colo. - It may be a sign of just how important Colorado is in this election because presumptive GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is sending his newly appointed vice presidential pick to Colorado.

Republican Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan is scheduled to hold a fundraiser in a Denver suburb Monday night and he has a public rally scheduled Tuesday at Lakewood High School.

Democratic Colorado congressman Ed Perlmutter and Democratic Party Chairman Rick Palacio plan their own welcome for Ryan Monday with a news conference attacking Ryan's economic policies and his record on women's issues.

Both parties consider Colorado a swing state and voters are getting a lot of attention during this year's presidential election.
