Rollin' On the River Fundraiser

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Many people spent the day walking, rolling and running along the river for a good cause Saturday.

Nearly 600 people participated in the Rollin' on the River 5k to help raise money for children with disabilities and their families.

This is the second annual 5k that Mesa Developmental Services has put on; they say they hope to raise more than $5,000.

"It just warms my heart. I'm just thrilled by it, I'm just thrilled," said Sheri LaPlante with Mesa Developmental Services.

The 5k also included dogs, rollerblades, scooters and strollers.
